TRAVEL TOURS

For a number of years, enquiries have been received regarding the availability of Christian tours that do not

involve travel and tourism on the Lord's Day.

VISIT TO ISRAEL

This took place between Tuesday 16th to Friday 26th September 2008. The tour leaders were both pastors and Day One authors who have led numerous tours to Israel. Clive Anderson is a member of the British Museum, The British School of Archaeology in Iraq and the Egyptian Exploration Society. He has also written a number of books including 'Travel with Spurgeon' and 'Through the British Museum with the Bible'.

Paul Williams serves the board of the European Missionary Fellowship and is the author of 'Travel with William Cowper.'

VISIT TO EGYPT

In the autumn of 2009, Clive Anderson led a tour to Egypt, visiting Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. This included a five-star cruise down the Nile and a visit to the Valley of the Kings. Click here for more pictures of the tour.

DAY ONE TRAVEL GUIDES

In spring 2002, Day One published its first 'Travel Guide' based upon the life of John Bunyan. This title was reprinted in 2005 and is available through the Bedford Tourist Board and the Bunyan Museum. With an increasing number of 'Travel with...' books now in print, this has proved to be a unique series, especially considering that most titles are now being translated into the Korean language. Translations into other languages may be undertaken in the near future. The number of titles published has reached thirteen with many more still in preparation. Not only are we telling the story of individual Christian characters throughout our history, but we are planning cities and areas throughout the United Kingdom that have historical significance as far as our Christian heritage is concerned. These will include Oxford, Cambridge, the city of London, and South Wales, just to name a few.

FUTURE DATES

Following the great success of our first tour to Israel last September, a number of tours have been arranged for 2010.

They are as follows:

Tour to Israel—Tuesday 8th to Thursday 17th June, 2010

Israel and Jordan—Thursday 28th October to Saturday 6th November, 2010
